Spring Cleaning Checklist
Now is a great time for some of those spring cleaning projects, usually we don't have time. Now that we are staying at home due to COVID19 it's a great opportunity to take care of these items! You will feel so accomplished!!!
Clean and Organize your garage - have a separate location for 'Donation' that will be easy to take care of later
Inspect and Clean up the roof and gutters
Power wash the outside of the house, including windows.
Drain all sediment from your hot water heater, you may want a plumber to do this for you.
Prepare clothes to donate , especially the ones you have not worn for more than two years.
Wash walls using 1/2 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda to 1 gallon of warm water.
Wash all inside windows. Vacuum out the tracks. Vacuum/wash/dry clean all window coverings.
Dust and wash light fixtures, ledges and other hard to get to areas of your house.
Wash all knickknacks. Vacuum books and shelves. Vacuum lampshades. Replace lightbulbs.
Deep clean shower, toilet, floor and sinks; check all your towels and linens, perhaps some need to be thrown out.
Inventory the medicine cabinet and properly dispose of expired medicines, usually Fire Departments will take them or have a drop off location.
Defrost freezer (if needed) and wash out refrigerator, look for expired foods and throw them away.
Clean oven and soak stove rings and drip pans, double check the cleaning instructions for your appliances.
Launder all blankets and bedding. Switch out winter bedding for spring/summer bedding. Turn mattresses. Clean underneath beds.
Move furniture to the center of each room and vacuum thoroughly. Shampoo carpets.
Have Fun with the Family, have the kids help, teach them how to do it and let them clean their rooms thoroughly.
